I believe great design is efficient and effective problem solving. Beauty and aesthetics come within that process but don't guide the work above all else. Great design must work and look incredible.
Clear communication is the focus of the design process between clients and myself. I ask a lot of questions and I listen when they are being answered. In return I encourage and ensure that I am asked a lot of questions. My favourite questions is "Why?" and when asked properly what it reveals clarifies details for everything from value and design briefs to nitty-gritty visual and content decisions.
Based in Vancouver now, I have lived in cities large and small in Canada, the US and China. Living and travelling abroad has been a mind-expanding and endlessly inspiring experience. It provides me with a huge reference for my work, both visually and in meeting, working with and building friendships with people from all over the world.
I have experience working with individuals, small businesses and multi-national brands. Different budgets require different resources and approaches but demand the same attention to detail and commitment to high-quality solutions.
